This soil song, sung to the tune of "Where's the Love," by Hanson is by Heather and Erika, two eighth graders from the R.M. Teitelman School in Cape May, New Jersey.

"Where's the Pit?"

(Chorus)

Where's the shovel?
Where's the pick?
We need them to dig our pit
Where's the shovel?
Where's the pick?
We need them to dig our pit

(First Verse)
The people at NASA need all of our help
They need us to dig a pit & record all of our data
So we write it & then we give it to our data technicians
then we go out & dig some more, nothing can cure our ambitions

(repeat chorus)

(second verse)
rain rain pouring down when it stops we'll dig around
waiting for the next horizon to break through
get down on the ground the next horizon we have found
we gotta keep up our pace if we want a smiley face

(repeat chorus till end)
