This soil song, sung to the tune of the "Jingle Bells" is by Marie, Janelle, and Zoe, eighth graders from the R.M. Teitelman School in Cape May, New Jersey.
Purely Pitty
Had a pit, cement in it, couldn't dig no more.
We were glad, cold and sad,
our hands were dirty and sore-ore.
We had to dig, deeper still, a meter from the top,
It was hard and rough, but we were tough,
and the digging never stopped.
