Who Can I Ask For Help?

(or, "So You Need A Little Help Digging Your Pit....")

In all GLOBE partner countries, soil scientists at local or state Universities and Colleges may be very eager to help with the Soil Protocols (check departments such as Agronomy, Soil Science, Geography, and Environmental Science).

Also, contact national agriculture or natural resource agencies, or local planning agencies who may use Soil Scientists as consultants

In the USA: The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has a number of organizations which can be helpful. Probably the most useful organization is the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Within the NRCS, there are many soil scientists available to help you at the county, state, regional, or national level. To get more information about the NRCS, check the home page at http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/, or to find the location of the NRCS office nearest you check: http://www.ncg.nrcs.usda.gov/perdir.html or http://offices.usda.gov or your telephone book.

Other USDA agencies that might be helpful are:

In other partner countries:

In addition to your local agencies, Universities, and Colleges, you can try:
